Enjoy Achieving!

Tutoring with a difference in Gilston.

I take a unique approach to tutoring at Enjoy Achieving. One that focuses on multisensory education, the science of reading, and fun games. My program is tailored specifically for each child, and is designed to help students of all ages better understand their learning style. I want to make learning enjoyable, so I make sure all of my activities are engaging and motivating. Children learn far better when they are having fun!

I believe that everyone can learn and grow with some confidence and the right guidance, and I am here to provide that.

"We would definetely recommend Miss Lee. She is patient, and very inventive in her teaching methods. She and has been wonderful in engaging Scarlett and helping her to achieve her reading goals".

Which Subjects Do I teach?

I teach all primary school curriculum content in line with the new Australian Curriculum (version 9); reading, writing, early phonics, maths, problem solving and science.

Learning to read

Early literacy is one of my favourite things to teach because kids can really see their own progress - and they are DELIGHTED with themselves when they do. Best Practice in this area is always changing and evolving. I am up to date with all the current recommendations, well versed in The Science of Reading and am able to implement these far quicker than is possible for an entire school.

Daydreaming on Bed

I feel we don't give enough credit to HOW MUCH learning is involved in writing. Letters are first thing children come across that changes when the direction it is facing changes. A dog is a dog no matter which way it is pointing... Yet a 'd' is a 'b' if it's backwards! Sometimes it is a simple as finding the missing puzzle piece to unlock their understanding and potential.

Math Exercises

Maths Games are always a hit with kids... If it's a game they they don't even realise they are learning! I haven't met a student yet who didn't find SOMETHING they really loved playing in my collection.. A few well-timed wins can build confidence immeasurably - setting them up for success.

Home schooling

Underpinning all learning is "problem solving." Learning through targeted games not only cements what they are taught but develops critical thinking skills, motivation to understand and helps them develop the ability to apply their knowledge to solving problems in real-life situations.
